Death House, Featuring A Huge Cast Of Horror Icons, Is Coming To DVD!

The largest cast of genre icons ever assembled star in Harrison B. Smith‘s unique, gore-filled film Death House (review), which arrives on DVD this December. Originally, the script for Death House was penned by Texas Chainsaw Massacre actor and genre icon Gunnar Hansen. Smith rewrote the script, keeping Hansen’s vision intact. Smith even got Hansen’s approval on the script just before Hansen passed away. In the film, Agents Toria Boon and Jae Novak have their own dark pasts, arriving at Death House to tour its levels and observe its denizens first hand as well as the medical and mental experiments of Drs. Eileen Fletcher and Karen Redmane whose depraved experiments date back to the Nazi doctors of World War II. Prison cells are virtual reality holodecks that recreate prisoner environments before they were incarcerated. A special hallucinogenic gas keeps inmates under control. All Hell literally breaks loose inside the facility when an EMP device detonates, killing all power and communication,

Hello my Little Monsters, we are less than a week away from HorrorHound Weekend’s celebration of all things horror movie related. And what makes this year even more special is the fact that it’s HorrorHound’s 10th Anniversary convention. To celebrate this big occasion, the festivities (which run from Friday August 24th through Sunday the 26th) have been moved to more spacious digs at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. They are filling this large venue with over 50 celebrity guests from horror movies old and new, as well as over 100 special effects artists and mask makers at Mask Fest. Have you had enough yet? That’s good because there’s still more. There’s also numerous vendors, selling almost any kind horror related merch you could be looking for. Movie Review: To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story (2017)

Kane Hodder is Jason Voorhees…I mean he isn’t actually the masked maniac, Jason is a fictional character (in case any of you are complete idiots) but, he was definitely the actor that made the role his own, and gave the Friday the 13th film series’ icon a real personality (not an easy task considering Hodder’s face is never seen on film without heavy prosthetic make-up, nor does he utter a single line of dialog in his four on screen stints as the character) comprised of distinct movements. And as you can imagine, any documentary about the man had better well and duly cover his most famous role…and this one satisfies in that department for sure, but there is so much more to learn in To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story. Coming in at roughly twenty or so minutes into the narrative, the story of how Kane received the scars that have been visible in interviews and his unmasked

‘Death House’ Delayed In Theaters

If you were eagerly awaiting Death House‘s arrival in theaters this week, we have a bit of bad news. You are going to have to wait one more week. The film’s theatrical release will be delayed by 7 days due to the massive success of Black Panther. Eric Parkinson, CEO of Hannover House, who is distributing Death House (review) in theaters, had this to say: Obviously, we are very disappointed to find such pressure from the exhibitors to hold-over multiple screens for ‘Black Panther’ but we are happy for the success that this film is providing to theatre owners, and we know that the slight delay we are implementing for ‘Death House’ will ultimately pay big dividends for the film.” There is good news though, Death House will premiere on Friday, March 2nd and will hold a media event open to the public at the Regency Plant 16 in Van Nuys, California. 20 cast members, along with additional crew members,

Movie Review: Victor Crowley is the Best of the Hatchet Series!

Victor Crowley, the deformed and bullied child that grew up to be a monstrous, murder lovin’ madman (and ghost to boot), is back stalking and slaying in his bayou home ten years after the events of Adam Green’s cult slasher favorite Hatchet (2006). Now ol’ V.C. isn’t the only familiar face back on the scene as paramedic, and lone survivor of previous bloodbaths, Andrew has returned to tell his side of events (and promote his new book about the gruesome goings-on) on his ex-wife’s talk show. Before long, Andrew is offered an ass load of money to return to the swamp and record an interview for a national television show…so our hero, a camera crew, and that aforementioned ex-wife traipse right into the lion’s den (after a plane crash that is) because unbeknownst to them, a trio of aspiring film makers (hoping to shoot a fake trailer to raise the scratch to make a film about Crowley) have inadvertently resurrected
