We are proud to announce that Horror Fuel is teaming up with SLASHER to ignite the upcoming mobile app with news stories from across the genre. It’s the goal of SLASHER to create a one-stop horror experience that will make it easier for horror fans and professionals to find what they’re looking for. Horror Fuel creates terrific content and they’re fans just like I am. It made sense to reach out to Kelli and ask if she’d like to have Horror Fuel included as one of our content partners. I’m so excited to have them on Slasher!” Damon Della Greca, Slasher Founder said. Horror Fuel is excited to announce their partnership with SLASHER, to deliver the latest in horror news, reviews, interviews, and more. With Halloween being the scariest time of the year, there’s no better time to reflect on some of the scariest monsters in videogames. After all, what’s good horror without something tall and murderous to scare the pants off you? The Slender Man (Slender: The Eight Pages) An abnormally skinny figure fitted in a tailored black suit, The Slender Man looks almost human. That is until you see his face, a smooth white dome, completely lacking in features. And even though he has no eyes, victims say they could feel Slender Man staring right through them. Starting off as a series of photo shopped images on the popular website 4chan.org The Slender Man reached peak popularity with the release of the video game “Slender: The Eight Pages.” Tasking the player with exploring a dilapidated camp site in search of the titular documents, “Slender” is made more difficult, and more terrifying, by the presence of the ever more aggressive Slender Man. Full disclosure- the comic in question is mine, the campaign was run by me, and we’re now up and running on Indiegogo for anyone interested, and one of our perks is actually writing your name on an egg and throwing it at a Kickstarter poster. We haven’t made back a fraction of what we’ve lost so far, but at least we’re still in the game. . While Horrorfuel readers might know me for my reviews, news, and general writings on the horror community, I’ve also been co-writing a comic for about a year now, Tales From The Whorehouse of Horror. Maybe you can guess from the title it’s not something you read to your kid before you tuck him in at night. And I fully admit, and in fact relish, that The Whorehouse of Horror is a book full of filth, depravity, and everything that mainstream sensibilities tell you to steer the fuck away from. But it’s also a book

Yes. Yes it is. ………But I think its worth watching anyway, as a lesson in how not to make a horror movie, if nothing else. Studio horror rightfully gets a lot of shit, and The Mummy might just be the perfect example of a production studio that doesn’t have a fucking clue what horror fans want. But what this disaster-piece really does is show how little faith studios have in horror at all. Despite films like The Conjuring grossing over $300 Million dollars, film producers still don’t believe horror has the drawing power that more traditional Blockbuster and action films do. So rather than anything close to a horror movie, The Mummy is instead a big budget Tom Cruise action film, the start of a cinematic universe no less (on a related note, has anyone outside of Marvel even come close to a halfway watchable cinematic universe?) Never mind the fact that the mummy is a monster with literally thousands

The Cat in the Hat knows a lot about that….child murder that is! Taking a cue from the already vaguely horrifying 2003 film, famous internet mashup artist But Without has made a trailer combo for the ages, taking the recently released IT trailer and replacing all the horrifying Pennywise scenes with the somehow even more horrifying Mike Myer’s dressed as The Cat in the Hat. As both a huge IT fan (I read the book twice before I turned 13) and someone who actually really enjoys 2003’s Cat in the Hat (looking at it as a dark comedy designed to slowly drive Alec Baldwin mad makes it a lot funnier), this was the hardest I’ve found myself laughing in a long while. Truth be told, given the choice between being locked in a basement with a dancing clown or a 8 foot tall bipedal cat wielding a rusty hoe, I think I’d choose the clown.

If you want to add some credibility to your fighting game character, having Freddy Krueger voice him isn’t a bad way to do it. And on that happy note, Netherrealm Studio’s has decided to throw horror fans a bone, with the iconic Batman villain Scarecrow being voiced by the one and only Robert England in their upcoming DC fighting game, Injustice 2. Shown here in a new trailer, titled It‘s Good To Be Bad, Scarecrow might fight with a bladed chain rather than a clawed glove, but Fred’s penchant for nightmares and horrifying alternate realities is kept intact. While the trailer doesn’t show a whole lot of Scarecrow, England’s unmistakable voice rings through; and with unique opening dialogue for every combatant, Rob will be getting a lot to jabber on about. And no, while this isn’t quite as awesome as Freddy Krueger vs Batman, it might just be the next best thing.

The Summer of the Dinosaur Dinosaurs clobbered the combined super hero talents of The Avengers. They also handed Schwarzenegger his T-800 ass. Interestingly all three films are bred from the same cynical experiment that might have started in JJ Abrams’s lab…repackaging. Cynema has evolved or been upgraded much like Arnie’s T800 at the end of the latest Terminator franchise. My definition of Cynema says that a movie is made deliberately bad even if the filmmakers have the means to do it better. In the case of Jurassic World, Terminator Genysis and Star Trek: Into Darkness they are beautifully produced films, but all the more deceptive. These films all lack a central thing: a well done script. All three of these films are not unfolding stories, but rather set pieces stitched together with basic dialogue and character development to push things toward the next set piece. The argument could be made, that in a few years, the need for directors and

The 2009 Disney musical masterpiece Fantasia, consisting of eight segments, combined animation and classical music. Now the third segment of the musical feature, titled ‘Night on Bald Mountain’, is set to become a feature film. In the segment we witness a winged demon, meant to represent the Devil, descend on a mountain town, raising the dead and other demons, who dance in celebration of their dark master. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the writers of ‘Dracula Untold’ and the up coming film ‘The Last Witch Hunter’, are set to write the script that will transform the animated section into a live action feature. At this time there is no word on when the film will be released.

When Aaron (Patrick Brice), a videographer, answers a Craigslist ad for a one-day job filming a terminally ill man’s “day in the life” video for his unborn son, in a remote mountain town, he gets much more than he bargained for. The client, played by Mark Duplass, is not the man he seems to be. Mark Duplass, known for his roles in ‘The Lazarus Effect’ and in the series ‘The League’, co-wrote ‘Creep’ along with award winning ‘Wolf Creek’ director Patrick Brice, who also directed this found-footage thriller. The duo serve as the only cast members in the film. Duplass and Brice intend for ‘Creep’ to be the first film of a trilogy. Brice and Duplass ‘Creep’ will be released on July 14th.
