Movie Review: Division 19 (2017)

In the astounding future year 2039, vox populi decides what prisoners wear, consume, watch…and most importantly who they fight via an online service called Panopticon TV. Before you can say “Fuck…The Running Man was a great film, ol’ PTV decides to increase their scope and make a whole town under their consumer’s whims as their most famous convict superstar, Hardin Jones (Jamie Draven), has gone rogue, escaped, and joined up with an underground resistance movement dedicated to put the kibosh on Panopticon. For all of it’s high-concept, just a few minutes from now, social commentary…those elements aren’t given a chance to simmer and develop due to the fact that every time things get interesting in the ol’ world building department along comes a

‘Mandy’ Makes Its Streaming Premiere Exclusively On Shudder This November

Mandy, hailed by Newsweek as a “fable from an alternate dimension,” is set to make its highly anticipated streaming premiere exclusively on Shudder later this month. Directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and produced by SpectreVision, XYZ Films, and Umedia, Mandy stars Oscar and Golden Globe-winner Nicolas Cage in a stunning performance that critics are celebrating as one of the best in his long and illustrious career—and which Entertainment Weekly raves is “insane (in all the right ways).” Cage stars as a man whose peaceful woodland existence with his wife is brutally shattered by a nightmarish religious cult and their demon-biker henchmen, propelling him into a spiraling, surreal rampage of vengeance. Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, Bloodline) and Linus Roache (Homeland, Batman Begins) also star. AMC’s streaming network for horror and thrillers, Shudder has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to Mandy in the U.S. from RLJ Entertainment and the Canadian rights from Elevation Pictures. Mandy is the latest in a

AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for thrillers, suspense, and horror has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to Mandy in the US from RLJ Entertainment earlier this Spring. It also acquired the Canadian rights from Elevation Pictures.
