This September Horror Comedy ‘Groupers’ Begins Its Sadistic Experiment

Global Digital Releasing has snagged the worldwide rights to writer-director Anderson Cowan‘s LGBTQ horror-comedy feature debut Groupers. “The film centers around two all-American high school jocks Brad and Dylan (Peter Mayer-Klepchick and Cameron Duckett) who are out for a night on the town when they are approached by the beautiful and seductive Meg (Nicole Dambro) at a local bar. Ready for what they hope will be a night to remember, the guys are subsequently kidnapped, drugged and awaken tied up face to face in an abandoned pool in the middle of nowhere. Absurdity and insanity ensue as we learn that Orin (Jesse Pudles), Meg’s overly flamboyant brother has been the target of Brad and Dylan’s homophobic bullying and that Meg is actually a grad student who plans to perform a psychological and somewhat sadistic experiment on them as part of her thesis, which poses the question, “is homosexuality a choice”. Devilworks Unveils Trailer For Supernatural Thriller ‘Axiom’

The new trailer and poster for Axiom have been unveiled by genre sales specialists Devilworks following its debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The supernatural thriller stars The Hobbit’s William Kircher as well as Hattie Smith, Zac Titus, and Nicole Dambro. In the film, “At the risk of her friend’s safety, a young woman travels into a National forest, in search for her missing sister. Once in the wilderness, they discover they have entered a multi-dimensional world full of monsters.” Written and directed by Nicholas Woods, Axiom‘s release date will be announced at a later date.

Surprising And Entertaining – A Review Of Pitchfork

This morning I sat down to watch Glenn Douglas Packard’s slasher ‘Pitchfork’. Watching a director’s first film is always interesting. You never know what to expect, usually it’s hit or miss. This time, I was pleasantly surprised, especially considering that this is Packard’s first real introduction into the genre. Packard’s well known for his work as a dancer and choreographer. He also serves as creative director and producer for the new series Men of the Strip on the E! Network. This Prime Time Emmy Award nominee has racked up quite a few awards, including two Fright Night Film Festival awards for Best Director and Best Feature Film for ‘Pitchfork’. ‘Pitchfork’ follows a young man who “recently shared a life-changing secret with his family, Hunter recruits his friends to come with him from New York to the farm where he grew up as he faces his parents for the first time.
