New ‘Predator’ Poster Strikes Fear Into A City

Director Shane Black is taking The Predator out of the jungle and into the streets by the look of the film’s new art (below) which seems to pay homage to 1990’s Predator 2. At a licensing expo in London recently, 20th Century Fox unveiled the first official poster for the film in which a lightning strike takes the shape of the Predator. They have now officially released the art via the Predator Fan App. where you see the streak of lightning in action as it strikes fear into a city. In The Predator, starring Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, Edward James Olmos, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Alfie Allen, and Yvonne Strahovski, a group of humans face the fierce aliens who have returned to earth for a hunt. The Predator Begins Filming – A First Look At The Cast

At some point people thought it would be a good idea to start making horror films that are PG-13. What a horrible idea that is. One upcoming film that won’t be PG-13 is Shane Black’s ‘The Predator’. In fact, he recently said that “PG-13 is for pussies. Spines bleed… a lot.” ‘The Predator’ will be rater R ! And for that, we thank you Mr. Black. Let’s be honest, part of the genre’s charm is the blood, guts, and lots of other horrifying things. Parents know when their children shouldn’t watch something, it’s common sense. There’s no need to ruin a movie for the rest of us. Luckily, ‘The Predator’ will be filled with violence and gore, just the way we like it. Last we heard Thomas Jane was in final negotiations to star alongside Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, and Boyd Holbrook. Olivia Munn Will Face ‘The Predator’

We last updated you on Shane Black’s ‘The Predator‘ back in October. The film is taking shape. The cast is list is steadily growing. The latest star to sign on for the film is actress Olivia Munn. Munn is known for roles in the comedy ‘The Wedding Ringer’, ‘Dredd’ and ‘Juno’. Munn, who will be playing a scientist, joins Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl),and musician-actor 50 Cent, Reportedly, James Franco is eyeing the lead role of “Quinn”. Black told JoBlo that ‘The Predator’ is more of a sequel than a reboot. “…has to stand on its own two feet, but our goal is to make sure it acknowledges that, yeah, it is 30 years later in the continuity of the story. In other words, Dutch Schaefer’s patrol, which was attacked and largely slaughtered, happened 30 years ago in the context of the story. It’s referenced, it’s part of the mythology. In that way, it’s more of a sequel than a reboot.”

50 Cent To Fight The Predator

Director Shane Black’s Predator sequel is picking up speed and has begun the casting process. We reported back in early March that Arnold Schwarzenegger was in talks to appear in the new film, but he’s not the only celebrity that has now entered negotiations. During a radio interview with 99Jamz UnCensored rapper-actor-entrepreneur 50 Cent let it slip the he’s currently in talks with Black to star in Predator. “I’m working on some new projects. You ever heard of the movie Predator? I might be a part of that project this summer.” Image: swaggamusic.net “Fiddy” (Curtis Jackson) already has an impressive list of roles under his belt. He’s appeared in many films including the boxing drama Southpaw, the comedy Spy, the action film Escape Plan, Get Rich or Die Trying and many more. He’s also a writer and producer. Of course, he’s most well known his music career. Black will be directing off of the script he co-wrote with Fred Dekker.

The Script For The New Predator Sequel Complete

We reported back in August that a new Predator sequel was in the works, under the direction of Iron Man 3 director, Shane Black. We now have an update. Black and co-writer Fred Dekker have finished and turned in the script, according to a post by Dekker on Facebook. Black Much of the details about the sequel are being kept hush-hush, but producer John Davis told Collider in an interview: “The writing is so fresh, the perspective is so fresh. I’m telling you you’re going to get something you don’t expect and you’re going to say, “This is the most entertaining way to reinvent a franchise.” “ Black has had experiencing with Predator before. He played the role of “Hawkins” in the original 1987 film.
