Horror Duo Directing Marvel’s New ‘Moon Knight’ Series

Marvel Studios is continuing to expand its Disney Plus library with “Moon Knight,” a new series based on the comic book character created by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin. Get this, the series will be directed by the well-known horror directing duo of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead who brought us Synchronic, The Endless, and Spring, so don’t be surprised if the show has a horror tinge to it. Mohamed Diab (“Clash”) will also direct with Jeremy Slater of “The Umbrella Academy” serving as showrunner. Marvel has not officially announced the cast, but back in October 2020, Variety reported that Oscar Isaac was in talks to play the role of Marc Spector, whose dissociative identity disorder manifests as different distinct personas. One version of the character in the comic, Spector is also the embodiment of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon. “Moon Knight” is set to begin filming this March in Hungary with a Disney Plus release

Showrunner Won’t Let Threats Stop “The Boys” Or Its Spin-Off

Amazon’s series “The Boys,” shines a light on the dark side of superheroes. It has scored a solid fan base, but not everyone is happy about the action-packed horror-tinged show. Showrunner Eric Kripke has shared that he’s actually receiving threats now. Kripke recently told Consequence of Sound: “[Regarding the threats], it’s only human nature to have to react to anger or hate directed right at you. I’m not gonna lie and say, ‘No, I think it’s funny.’ It affects me. It troubles me and everything. But I think it’s part of my job to not let it affect the work. And not let it force me to second guess myself and what I’m doing here. So, no, I take a moment, feel appropriately horrified, and then process my way past it. And get back to the work of writing.” He went on to say, “And we have a very specific rule that we try to follow, which is, it was

Netflix Series Review: “Sweet Home” Is A Monster Hit!

Netflix has released several series this year including “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” which didn’t quite live up to its predecessor. But if you are looking for a horror series on the streaming giant there is one, in particular, I highly recommend, “Sweet Home.” While the title “Sweet Home” may not sound like the name of a horror series I promise you that it is in every sense of the word. This South Korean show is the most insane thing I’ve watched in a long time. And I mean that as a compliment. Directed by Lee EungBok, the series is actually an adaptation of the webtoon by the same name. In the series, Hyunsoo, a loner high school student who lost his entire family in a terrible accident, moves to an old apartment complex called Green Home. Not long after, all hell breaks loose as some people begin to turn into monsters throughout the city. The residents of Green Home
