Documentarian of the Cryptids Seth Breedlove is back, and this time he turns his eerie eyeballs an a wicked werewolf legend in The Bray Road Beast! Elkhorn, Wisconsin is a bucolic lil’ town, sleepy, possessed of a small populace…and a red eyed werewolf that can run 55 mph and lives on Bray Road (home to the Bray family, who do not seem like werewolves to me, but I’m no expert at lycanthrope in human form identification)…you know, the usual. Of course as the film digs deeper we learn that this area sits in an area surrounded by strange happenings, outre cults, and that whole Slenderman stabbing incident of a few years back. Of course everyone has a theory as to just what the titular beast is, and all the usual explanations make their appearance; Native american curse, occult summoned hell beast, the aforementioned werewolf theory…regardless of what it is, there are plenty of spooky-ass stories about whatever it is; and

Around the world tales of bizarre, wolflike creatures have been told for centuries. Everyone has heard stories about werewolves, but In 1992 the worldwide phenomenon came to the forefront in the United States when residents of Elkhorn, a small town in Wisconsin, began encountering a “Werewolf” on a rural road just outside of town. Those unlucky enough to see the “beast of Bray Road” for themselves were left forever changed by the ordeal. The story quickly gained national attention. The regional media flocked to the area as monster hunters descended on the tiny hamlet. Before long, sightings of similar figures were erupting all across the Midwest. Nearly three decades later, Small Town Monsters investigates the story of the Beast of Bray Road… and it’s hidden history. As recently as last week, a major news item about the discovery of an unidentifiable dog-like creature shot and killed in rural Montana went viral. However, similar strange beasts have stalked the prairies and

It’s a rare occurrence when your’s cruelly is sent a documentary to review; but today I have two for ya (I feel so F’n fancy); Invasion on Chestnut Ridge and The Mothman of Point Pleasant; two deep dives into cryptids, creeps, and catastrophe from the fine fiends at Small Town Monsters! So, without further arcane adieu let’s dip our freaky feet into some good ol’ monstrous mayhem! Invasion on Chestnut Ridge concerns a series of incidents that were mostly unknown to me (and believe me, I am always pleased as poison punch to learn about new paranormal occurrences). Chestnut Ridge sits in southern Pennsylvania; a rural area dotted with bucolic small towns; most of which have had brushes with U.F.O.’s, Sasquatch, hauntings, or some unholy combination of them all. Starting with a brief overview of the location’s history, the film begins in earnest with the story of a crashed U.F.O. in Kecksburg County in the mid 1960’s, commented on by

What followed after their sighting has become one of the most infamous local legends ever recorded. That night, seven
