When I first heard of this game, I saw it on a post on Twitter showing testing of the combat animation and was instantly taken in by the look (though it was roughly done) but now Tormented Souls has been unleashed and PQube was amazing enough to let me have a look-see at their game that touts its bringing back classic survival horror. Tormented Souls follows Caroline Walker, a young woman who was suddenly called on to visit an abandoned mansion that is also a hospital, upon arriving she is knocked out and wakes up in a nightmarish scenario where twisted creatures roam the halls and her only weapon is a nail gun. The controls of the game are very smooth and can be mastered quite quickly and handle very much like the classic survival horror games we grew up on! The critically acclaimed survival horror game, Remothered: Tormented Fathers which was strictly digital (meaning you can only download the game to your console) will release physical copies this Halloween! Darril Arts and Stormind Games have partnered up with SOEDESCO to publish the retail version of the game that follows Rosemary Reed, whose investigation into the disappearance of a little girl has brought her to the mansion of the reclusive Dr. Felton. Soon Reed’s investigation turns into a cat and mouse game of survival where she must hide from threats within the mansion and uncover the secrets that are housed within. Remothered: Tormented Fathers will be coming to shelves near you this Halloween for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. If Switch players can’t wait for the physical copy fear not! The game will be released digitally for Nintendo Switch July 26th!

You may have heard of him or at least have seen his cheery black and tan face in the toy aisle at stores, Bendy. Some know who he is and others may not but soon many more will get to know this little guy as he’s coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this October! Don’t let his smiling mug and the whimsical title of his game, “Bendy and the Ink Machine” fool you, the Disneyesque façade of this story is pure horror survival! This first-person episodic game has players taking on the role of retired film animator Henry who has returned to his former employer’s studio. After arriving Henry soon realizes that something is wrong with the studio as there’s no one around, ink is splattered everywhere and the characters from the animated films the studio is famed for are alive, some of which are hell-bent on killing. The fifth and final chapter of “Bendy and the Ink Machine”
