Game Review: ‘Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fatesworn’

THQ Nordic yesterday released a large expansion to their RPG adventure Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. This DLC titled Fatesworn continues the story after the events of the game’s main story set years later with the god of chaos Telogrus awakening and wishing to bring chaos to the world of Amalur, not wanting to see your hard work of bringing peace back to the land, you again set out to put this god in his place! There’s really not much I can say without spoiling the story, but when it comes to the game itself, you can refer to my previous review of the main game HERE as pretty much the game’s controls, graphics, and sound are no different now as they were previously BUT I will say the map has improved where the minimap is no longer locked in place (you can change that in the options if this option was always there I’ll admit I missed that!). What I

Game Review: ‘Biomutant’

THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 were awesome enough to show me what life would be like after humans in their post-apocalyptic Action game, Biomutant. Biomutant takes place on Earth but things look really different, humanity pretty much messed the planet up so much with pollution and other man-made catastrophes that they just up and left the planet. Over the years life has changed and new races of creatures have taken over. Players take control of a One-eyed Ronin who will help save the world by saving the tree of life from the monstrous creatures called the Worldeaters. Now onto the game itself! The game’s controls can be a bit tricky as each style of weapon as well as special power-ups use different button patterns. I have played for a few hours and am still having some issue with the more advanced buttons and abilities BUT thankfully, in the character’s menu on the pause screen, you can see all the moves

‘Gothic’ Remake To Have Microtransactions

Sorry Gothic fans, THQ’s remake will be committing gaming sin by adding MTX into the upcoming game. Gothic will be introducing the “G-Store” in the game where players spend G-Coins to purchase cosmetics, stronger weapons, creature-type-damage focus enhancers, XP boosters, skill resets, and pets. Players can earn coins one of two ways; watching Gothic live streams, for each hour watching the Gothic Remake in a stream, registered users will be rewarded with G-Coins, and buying coins with real money. Reinhard Pollice, Studio Head at Alkimia Interactive & Business and Development Director at THQ Nordic had this to say -we did a representative survey in our financial department and 100% of the people agreed, that this is a fantastic idea!” Just like how it worked for, Red Dead Online, Star Wars Battlefront II, Evolve, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Call of Duty WWII, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Dead Space 3, and anyone else you the reader

Game Review: ‘Chronos: Before The Ashes’

THQ Nordic gave me the opportunity to experience a truly unique and beautiful RPG that is Chronos: Before the Ashes. This game is a prequel to Remnant: From the Ashes. Chronos: Before the Ashes, takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where players play as a hero who is sent to a place known as the Labyrinth to put an end to an evil that comes from it. The gateway to this other world is only open once a year and if the player dies, they come back to the Labyrinth a year later, and older. Now onto the game itself! The controls are easy to learn and are pretty basic for an RPG involving the use of shields and weapons so fans of hack & slash games will most likely have fun with this, the option to turn on the tutorial is a great option too. The fighting has Dark Souls feel to it as blocks, parries, and dodges play

Game Review: ‘Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning’

THQ Nordic again came through and gave me the opportunity to give the remastered version of a past hit of EA’s, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning a try. The original RPG fantasy came out in 2012 and was praised highly by critics but today, I’ll be checking out THQ’s Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning! In this game, you play as a hero who started off dead but because of an experiment, was brought back to life! You awaken to a world that’s at war pitting mortals and immortals against one another and because your fate has yet been decided, you’re caught up in the middle of it. Now onto the game itself! When it comes to controls they’re easy to get a hold of and the tutorial helps a lot in the beginning and the manual on the main menu is a lifesaver. Wish I could say the same for the camera controls which are, sorry to be blunt, trash as it

Age Won’t Be Just A Number In ‘Chronos: Before The Ashes’

THQ Nordic has announced details about their new game with a unique ‘aging system’ that will truly entice players to try. Chronos: Before the Ashes is a prequel to Remnant: From the Ashes set in a world where you play as a young hero is chosen to be sent to an ancient labyrinth to defeat the evil there in order to save his home. Inside they will face mystical enemies, and puzzles to solve, but if our hero fails, he’s cast out of the labyrinth and has to wait a year to come back and try again. In Chronos: Before the Ashes, players will experience an adventure that combines adventuring with RPG mechanics, combat where unique weapons, abilities, and powers. The main feature of the game is the aging mechanic that whenever a player dies, they lose a year of their life meaning that they start again a year older. ‘Destroy All Humans!’ Is One Giant Step On Mankind’s Boredom!

Black Forest Games and THQ Nordic have given me the chance to relive a part of my gaming past with the revamped Destroy All Humans! that surely will gain a bigger audience full of old and new fans. Some brief history of Destroy All Humans!, the game came out in 2005 from Pandemic Studios and THQ(before the name change) that was a nod to the cold war era alien invasion films and comics of the 1950s that also parodied 1950’s society that mirrored attitudes in the US at the time in ’05. I played and loved the hell out of that game back in the day, so when it was announced they were revamping it, I had to see if it held up. Destroy All Humans! is about an alien named Cryptosporidium-137, or Crypto, a clone, is tasked to go to earth to harvest human brainstems that contain DNA of their species to help further their cloning which is how

Never Before Played Level Coming To ‘Destroy All Humans!’

As our Furon overlord’s liberation approaches, old and new fans alike are no doubt getting excited to get their monkey paws on a copy of Destroy All Humans! set to arrive peacefully to our planet on Earth-date July 28, 2020, but more excited news is here about the remake/reboot of the game, it will include a never before seen or played mission called “The Wrong Stuff”. The primitive simians at THQ Nordic and Black Forest Games have carefully restored the lost level of the game after finding it foolishly hidden in the archives and have included it in the middle of the game! This was a foolish attempt to besmirch our Furon friends and cover Crypto-137’s attempts to peacefully bridge the gap between the Human race and the superior Furon Empire, WHEN WILL THE LIES END! *The writer of this article wishes to inform you that everything he has written is from his own gross primitive mouth and was in
