Age Won’t Be Just A Number In ‘Chronos: Before The Ashes’

THQ Nordic has announced details about their new game with a unique ‘aging system’ that will truly entice players to try. Chronos: Before the Ashes is a prequel to Remnant: From the Ashes set in a world where you play as a young hero is chosen to be sent to an ancient labyrinth to defeat the evil there in order to save his home. Inside they will face mystical enemies, and puzzles to solve, but if our hero fails, he’s cast out of the labyrinth and has to wait a year to come back and try again.

 

 

 

 

In Chronos: Before the Ashes, players will experience an adventure that combines adventuring with RPG mechanics, combat where unique weapons, abilities, and powers. The main feature of the game is the aging mechanic that whenever a player dies, they lose a year of their life meaning that they start again a year older. Players will start off as a nimble, quick youngster who as they age will become more attune with the use of magic.

 

 

 

 

Chronos: Before the Ashes is slated to come out on December 1, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia.
