Ahead of its release, the upcoming horror comic Stray Dogs is getting an animated adaptation by Paramount and IT writer Gary Dauberman, THR reports.

The comic, being described as “Silence of the Lambs meets Lady and the Tramp,” will be adapted by Mark Perez (Game Night) with Dauberman producing.

For me, the project combines a lot of my passions: animation, horror and, well, dogs,” Dauberman told THR. The scaremonger is also onboard an upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot and a remake of Korean zombie thriller Train to Busan.

The mysterious comic is set to be released next year. It was created by Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner for Image Comics.
