Get ready for a whole new chapter in the Jurassic World saga! The upcoming film will feature a fresh cast and director who will take the franchise in a bold new direction.
Deadline reports that Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (known for his role in The Lincoln Lawyer) is the latest addition to the cast. He will share the screen with previously announced A-listers Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Jonathan Bailey (“Bridgerton”).
The film will be directed by Gareth Edwards, whose credits include the blockbuster Godzilla. Jurassic veteran David Koepp, who penned the original Jurassic Park, is writing the script. That should ensure a return to the franchise’s roots.
This installment promises a shift from previous films. Expect a new era without the familiar faces of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, or even the original trilogy’s cast. Plot details are still under wraps, but the focus seems to be on revitalizing the franchise with a unique story. The new chapter builds upon the success of the Jurassic World Trilogy, which ended with Jurassic World: Dominion and brought in over $1 billion at box offices.
Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer through Amblin Entertainment for the new film. The production team, including Frank Marshall, Patrick Crowley, David Leitch, and Kelly McCormick, is a force to be reckoned with.
The untitled Jurassic film will hit theaters on July 2nd, 2025. Needing a dino fix sooner? Netflix’s animated series “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory,” set in the same universe as “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous,” arrives later this year.
