A Look At A Non-Horror Horror Film: ‘Come and See’

Being a bit of a history nerd with a love of horror, it would be no surprise that interesting things pop up in my online searches, especially when some sites have a “you may be interested in…” section, and it always seems that this film titled Come and See pops up, finally I looked into it and watched the film and HOLY SHIT does not even begin to describe what I saw. Everywhere I looked afterward it seems everyone has said the same thing over and over, this film is a “non-horror horror movie” which after seeing, I have to agree, let me tell you about Come and See. Come and See is a surrealist anti-war film made in the Soviet Union in 1985. The film was directed by Elem Klimov and was his last as he felt after making the film that he went as far as he could creatively as a director which was not far from the

Should The Bunker Open? : Game Review ‘Paradise Lost’

A big thank you to All In! Games and PolyAmorous Games for the chance to check out their alternate history Walking-Sim, Paradise Lost. The game runs similarly to Firewatch and The Suicide of Rachel Foster, while Firewatch was a good game and The Suicide of Rachel Foster desperately tried to copy it and failed to live up to its own hype, is there hope for this game or is it doomed to be left out in the cold of nuclear winter? Let’s take a look at Paradise Lost. Paradise Lost takes place in an alternative history where WWII lasted over 20 years and ends with Germany nuking most of Europe after moving all their desired citizens into a massive underground bunker system with the hopes of eventually returning to the surface with a new super army and ending the war in their favor, this never happened as the bunker is invaded by the Polish resistance who then take the bunker

Movie Review: ‘Werewolf’ Is Dark, Gripping, And Simply Brilliant

I watch and report on a lot of movies, horrors, and thrillers, but it’s not often that I come across one that truly affects me. That’s exactly what the Polish film Werewolf did. Let’s start with the trailer and the film’s synopsis which gave away some detail but was able to keep much of the film’s events secret and I really appreciate that. I get so sick of seeing movie trailers that basically give the whole film away. Don’t you? There are many things that I find much more terrifying than some fictitious monsters lurking about in movies, for example, films that center on real events such as wars and their atrocities. Those always seem to get under my skin. That is the case with this WWII set horror-thriller. We are introduced to a group of children and teens liberated from a concentration camp by Soviet soldiers. The group is left in a crumbling country manner where their will to

Final Destination’s Eric Bress Talks About New Film ‘Ghosts of War’

I’ve long been a fan of the Final Destination franchise, so when I heard that writer/director Eric Bress (Final Destination 2, The Final Destination) had a new movie coming out I was curious, then I saw the trailer for Ghosts of War and I was completely obsessed with getting a copy to review. You’ll be able to read my review now, but let’s just say I loved it! So when I got the chance to interview Bress I was beyond excited, I mean the man helped create one of the best horror franchises ever. Ghosts of War centers on five American soldiers assigned to hold a French mansion serving as an outpost near the end of World War II. Formerly occupied by the Nazi high command, the lives of the soldiers quickly descends into madness when they encounter a supernatural enemy far more terrifying than anything seen on the battlefield. Horror Fuel: “I love your movie. In fact, I’ve already
