The trailer has arrived for Mike Flanagan’s adaption of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game for Netflix. It’s intense and twisted, to say the least. But what else would you expect from the same director that brought us Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil, and Hush?
Starring Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, and Henry Thomas, the film centers on a woman whose husband suddenly dies while she is handcuffed to their bed, leaving her unable to free herself. As time passes she realizes that rescue is an all but hopeless and begins to slip into insanity.
Called “horrific, hypnotic, and terrific,” by Stephen King, Gerald’s Game premieres on Netflix’s streaming service on Friday, September 29, 2017.
