‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ writer/director James Gunn is teaming up with Greg McLean, the writer/director behind ‘Wolf Creek’, for a new project titled ‘The Belco Experiment’. James Gunn’s script for ‘The Belco Experiment’ has been shelved for a couple of years but is now finally going into production. Gunn has stated that the script is based on a dream he had one night.
“The story revolves around the American Belco company in South America which is mysteriously sealed off at the beginning of a work day, and it’s employees are ordered to kill each other or be killed themselves. This starts an escalation of violence, where we discover the true nature of each and every Belco employee.”
Gunn and Peter Safran (The Conjuring) will be producing ‘The Belco Experiment’. At the moment that is all we know about the project, save for the fact Gunn refers to it as ‘the most intense and uncompromising script” that he has ever written. Currently Gunn is working on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, but hopefully he will announce more details soon .
