Fans of the 1990 TV series, directed by David Lynch, were very excited about the return of the show and the likely hood that it would be directed Lynch.

Yesterday fans were very disappointed to find out that Showtime’s negotiations with Lynch had fallen through. Many fans said that they would not be interested in ‘Twin Peaks’ if anyone other than Lynch directed the new series. Lynch took to social media with an explanation.
