Lionsgate has come under fire for allegedly stealing the idea for ‘Cabin In The Woods’.

Peter Gallagher claims that 2012 movie ‘Cabin in the Woods’ is based on his book ‘The Little White Trip: A Night in the Pines’ and he’s claiming that ‘Cabin in the Woods’ producer and co-writer Joss Whedon is behind it. Director Drew Goddard and Mutant Enemy (Whedon’s company) has also been named in the law suit.

The law suit, filed in California’s Federal court on Monday, states that Gallagher believes that there are striking similarities between his book and the movie, including everything from character’s names, the events, mood and specific scenes. At this time he is seeking $10 million in damages and restitution from Whedon and Lionsgate.
