Michael Rooker, who played Daryl Dixon’s redneck brother Merle on ‘The Walking Dead’ and the blue faced Yondu on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, has joined the cast of James Gunn’s horror-thriller ‘The Belko Experiment’.
Rooker will be playing the role of Bud Melks. who is in charge of maintenance in the Belko building. In the movie an American company in South America is mysteriously sealed off, leaving 83 employees locked inside. The employees are told that in order to survive the day, they must murder their coworkers or they will be killed.
A few of Rooker’s fellow cast members have already been announced. Tony Goldwyn (Divergent), Melonie Diaz (The Cobbler) and ‘Jonah Hex’ actor John Gallagher Jr. will star alongside Rooker.
No release date has been announced at this time.
