Let’s be honest, a lot of us enjoy cheesy movies from time to time and the ‘Sharknado’ franchise tops the list of over done, cheesy goodness. The first promo trailer for ‘Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No’ has finally made fall and it bites, in a good way!
The SyFy channel teamed up with The Asylum once again, to bring us the third installment to their disaster franchise. SyFy struck gold with the original ‘Sharknado’ movie in 2013, starring Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. The movie followed four friends on a mission to rescue Fin’s ex wife April (Reid) and his two kids, as the flood waters, teeming with sharks, begins to rise. After picking up his ex and his daughter the group continues their journey to find his son. As they arrive at the flight school his son attends, tornadoes containing hungry sharks appear. As sharks rain down on them, they take up arms, while everyone else runs for cover.
‘Sharknado 2 : The Second One’ (2014), brought in massive ratings and had a VERY long list of cameos from stars of every genre. Fin (IanZiering) and his ex (now dating) hop a plane headed for New York. Mid flight the plane is assaulted by a sharknado. Fin lands the shredded plane, but now Fin and April must locate his sister and her family before it’s to late.
Now we’re preparing to batten down the hatches for the arrival of ‘Sharknado 3’, which will make land fall on July 22, 2015. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid are returning for the sequel, along with a horde of celebrities who will be making cameos. In ‘Sharknado 3’ the East Coast is at risk as sharknados approach Washington D.C. and Orlando, Florida. David Hasselhoff, Rick Fox, Chris Jericho, Chris Kirkpatrick, Anthony J. James, Bo Derek and Cassie Scerbo are just a few of the celebrities making an appearance in this fun flick.
