Once again we have to report another classic horror film is getting a reboot, this time it’s Stephen King’s classic ‘Cujo’. Director/producer Lang Elliott will be directing, producing and distributing the ‘Cujo’ reboot through Sunn Classic Pictures.

Elliott is set to film the reboot of the film under the new name ‘C.U.J.O.’ , which stands for “Canine Unit Joint Operations”. Actor/director/producer DJ Perry has signed on to star in ‘C.U.J.O. Perry, who is an actor, director and producer has appeared in such films as ‘Ashes of Eden’, ‘Blood Ties’ and 2002’s ‘Below’.

‘Cujo’, originally starred Dee Wallace, and was released in 1983. The original film follows a mother who takes her car to a mechanic’s remote house. Upon arriving Wallace’s character and her son are assaulted by a Saint Bernard with rabies. The two are stuck in the car, which will not start, as they are circled by the mad dog. It seems the rebooted version may have a military aspect added to the story. Personally, I think the reboot should be shot and put out of it’s misery.
