A&E kicked off advertising for their new series ‘Damien’, based on ‘The Omen’, in a major way, with a staged picket line at the San Diego Comic-Con. A&E also released the new trailer for the series, which looks great. I love the fact that A&E is including footage from the original film. It seems that they will be staying true to ‘The Omen’s’ story line, which is fantastic.
The series follows ‘The Omen’s’ Damien Thorn (Bradley James) as an adult. He has lived his entire life unaware of who he really is. Now, he must come to terms with being the anti-christ.
The first season, consisting of ten episodes, will premier later this year. Bradley James, who played the role of Liv’s love interest in ‘iZombie’, will star along side Omid Abtahi (Argo), Megalyn Echikunwoke (The Following), David Meunier (Aquarius) and Barbara Hershey who played the role of Lorraine Lambert in ‘Insidious: Chapter 2’. Scott Wilson, who you may recognize as Hershel on ‘The Walking Dead’, also appears in the series.
