Fans of Tim Burton’s 1988 classic Beetlejuice have a reason to celebrate this morning, Winona Ryder has confirmed that Beetlejuice 2 is a go! During an interview on the show Late Night With Seth Myers, Ryder confirmed that a sequel is indeed happening and that she would be returning as her character Lydia Deetz.
Ryder said “Um, I think I can confirm it, because Tim Burton did this interview-like, it was very hush hush, top secret…and then he was doing some press or Big Eyes and he did an on-camera interview and he said ,”Oh yeah we’re doing it and Winona’s going to be in it.”

I couldn’t be happier to hear this. Beetlejuice is one of my favorite movie. I do hope that Michael Keaton also returns after all, he is Beetlejuice.
