Today we have good news, there is a new sequel to the Puppet Master franchise in the works. Charles Moon, who is the head of Full Moon Features, teased in his Videocast that a new film is on it’s way and what we can expect in the latest installment of the franchise that began in 1989. The sequel is one of nine films Full Moon will be releasing in 2016.
The film’s title is set to be ‘Puppet Master: Axis Termination’. Moon stated ” It’s very edgy, very hard script. It’s a departure. It’s much more like Puppet Master 3 – that kind of vibe, that kind of blood.” Moon continues. “I think it’s gonna be real good one. We’ve got a lot of good feedback from fans over the years about our last two Puppet Master films and I think the script is gonna be terrific and will deliver [a sequel] that you guys will like.” Moon goes on to say “I think we’re gonna make, I hope at least – we always intend to make – our best Puppet Master ever.”
I admit, I’ve always loved those creepy little puppets, Blade, Pinhead, Jester, Leech Woman and Tunneler. Of course, there were other puppets, but the original five will always be fan favorites. I look forward to seeing what is in store for the coolest puppets in horror in their new movie.
