Warner Bros. Making A Live Action Adaption Of ‘Death Note’

Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to adapt the Japanese graphic novel series ‘Death Note’, written by Tsugumi Ohba with art by Takeshi Obata, into a live action film. The film will be directed by ‘You’re Next’ director Adam Wingard, according to THR.

The series follows Light Yagami, a high school student. A bored God of Death, Ryuk, puts a book in Light’s path, called a Death Note, giving Light the power of life and death with the stroke of a pen. Light is determined to use the Death Note for good, by riding the world of evil.

Only one member of the cast has been revealed so far. “The Fault in Our Stars’ actor Nat Wolff has been cast in the role of Light Yagami.
