The extremely popular Mattel toy and animated series franchise Monster High is getting it’s own live action film from Universal. Oscar winner, Ari Sandel has signed on to direct the film, with the script written by Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz.


The Monster High line features characters (dolls) inspired by monsters from literature, movies and legends. Each character is the son or daughter of a feature monsters like Dracula’s daughter Draculaura, Frankenstien’s daughter Frankie Stein, The Mummy’s daughter Cleo de Nile and Medusa’s son Deuce. In their adventures they learn about life, love, friendship and acceptance. If you have a kid, Monster High is a great way to introduce them to the classic monsters.
