In a few days the television adaption of Robert Kirkman’s Outcast will be premiering at the SXSW Film Festival. The Cinemax series stars Patrick Fugit as the main character Kyle Barnes, a young man in search of answers to why he has suffered from demonic possessions all of his life. During his quest to understand what happened to him, he comes in contact with others suffering from the same affliction.
Pete Burris (Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2) co-stars along side Lacy Camp (Red Band Society), Julia Crockett (The Absence), Philip Glenister (Demons) Melinda McGraw (Mad Men), David Denman (13 Hours), Grace Zabriskie (The Killing), Cathrine Dent (The Shield), Brent Spiner (Independence Day) and ‘The Americans’ actor Lee Tergesen.
The series will be directed by Adam Wingard, the director of ‘You’re Next’, and Julius Ramsey, who directed several episodes of ‘The Walking Dead’. Robert Kirkman will be serving as a writer for the 10 episode series, as well as an executive producer along with Chris Black and David Alpert. The television premiere will take place later this year.
