It’s been a long time since we’ve had a horror film set in a retirement home. Most memorable was Bubba Ho-Tep and Cocoon. Let’s be honest, they’re creepy places. The upcoming film Lasso, directed by Roberto Marinas and written by Elaine Gibson, capitalizes on that.
Variety reports Lindsey Morgan (The 100) has been cast in the lead role in the independent thriller that will also star Andrew Jacobs (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones). The two will play characters navigating thyrough life while working at at a senior center. Their lives are turned upside down when a group of psychotic, blood thirsty cowboys from the local rodeo descend on the center.
