A few days ago, news came that Tony Todd has confirmed that Final Destination 6 is finally entering production. I thought it would be a good time to take a stroll down memory lane and look back at the films that make up the death-filled franchise.
The franchise began in 2000 with the first movie, directed by James Wong. Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Sean Williams Scott, Amanda Detmer, and Tony Todd star in this fan favorite.
After a teenager has a terrifying vision of himself and his friends dying in a plane crash, he prevents their deaths by exiting the plane. Moments later, the plane departs and blows up mid-air. Now Death is hunting them down, one by one.

Final Destination 2, released in 2003 and directed by David R. Ellis, stars Tony Todd, Ali Larter, A.J. Cook, Michael Landes, David Paetkau, James Kirk, Keegan Connor Tracy, Jonathan Cherry, Terrance Carson, Justina Machado, and Alejandro Rae. The movie forever changed the way horror fans looked at log trucks.
When Kimberly (Cook) has a violent premonition of a highway pile-up, she blocks the freeway, keeping a few other people who were meant to die. The survivors mysteriously begin dying in freak accidents. It’s up to Kimberly to stop it, or she’s next.

In the franchise’s third installment (2006), a student’s premonition of a deadly roller-coaster accident saves her life and several others. But can they survive Death’s ultimate design?
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ryan Merriman, Kris Lemche, Alexyz Johnson, Seam Easton, Jesse Moss, Gina Holden, Texas Battle, Chelan Simmons, Crystal Lowe, and Amanda Crew star. James Wong returned to direct.

In 2011’s Final Destination 5, survivors of a suspension bridge collapse learn the hard way that there’s no way to escape Death’s plan.
Nicholas D’Agosto, Emma Bell, Miles Fisher, Ellen Wroe, Jaqueline MacInnes Wood, P.J. Byrne, Arlen Escarpeta, David Koechner, and Tony Todd star in the movie, directed by Steven Quale.
