The Asylum, the leading source of mockbusters, has a made a bold move, making their own version of Independence Day/ Independence Day: Resurgence to capitalize on this summers release of the second installment of the blockbuster franchise. In fact, I would not be surprised if there is a lawsuit in The Asylum’s near future over Independents’ Day.
The Asylum released the trailer, but there is no information to be found, even IMDb is clueless about the film, at least we assume there is a film. We are not sure who directed, who stars or when it will be released. All we can tell you is that in the movie aliens are attacking earth, a woman is president, there’s a bald guy who’s important to the story and there a big alien ships shooting lasers. Oh, and the white house is destroyed, which looks a lot like a scene out of Independence Day.
