One of the most iconic scenes in the history of horror is the shower scene featured in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film Psycho. The scene features the character Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) being stabbed to death by Norman Bates, dressed as his mother.

We will see the character Marion Crane check in to the Bates Motel next season, which will be the series’ fifth and final season. Executive Producer Carlton Cuse has revealed that not only will meet the character, but that she will be featured in several episodes.

“We wanted the final season to allow us to do our version of the Psycho lore,” Cuse stated. “We will be colliding with certain events in the narrative of the film, but it would be boring to just recreate Psycho.”
