Everywhere you look these days there are adaptions and remakes of comicbook characters, both heroes and anti-heroes. It’s only a matter of time until we see a remake of 2007’s Ghost Rider, starring Nicolas Cage, since the rights have now returned to Marvel.
Fans are cheering for one star to be the new Ghost Rider, and he does look amazing on a motorcycle, The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus. Not only are fans eager to see him in the role, Reedus himself wants to play the badass anti-hero.
Hell yeah. It would be a blast,” Reedus said about possibly playing the role during a recent interview.”Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Fuck yeah. I’m down.
The role would be a great fit for the talented actor. With Reedus’ huge fan base (2.7 + Million followers on Twitter alone), his continued role as Daryl on The Walking Dead, and his new series, Ride, on AMC, his fan base only going to continue to grow. Marvel should be knocking down his door.
Ghost Rider follows stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze. Blaze signs over his soul to save his father and becomes the spirit of vengeance to fight the power hungry Blackheart, son of the devil himself. However, in the comics there are many Ghost Riders and several story lines.
Ride With Norman Reedus premieres June 12 at 10pm on AMC.
