We reported back earlier this year that M. Night Shyamalan was returning Tales from the Crypt to our TVs. Imagine if you will, the Crypt Keeper (a redesigned version) introducing the night’s show and it happens to have been created by you. That would be awesome, right?
Variety reported today that Turner’s TNT and TBS will be teaming up with the online community Wattpad and giving users to have their stories adapted for a show, digital or mobile platforms. The first show up is Tales from the Crypt and they are inviting Wattpad users to submit their stories and ideas through the Turner profile on the service.
Our partnership with Wattpad is a perfect intersection of content and fan engagement, where fans actually have the chance to directly influence and, in some cases even have their material optioned and developed by our networks,” Justin Williams, senior VP of digital ventures for TNT and TBS, said.
