Godzilla: Resurgence’ is the 31st film in the Godzilla franchise and the 29th film produced and third rebooted by Japanese theater/distribution company Toho.
“An unknown accident occurs in Tokyo Bay’s Aqua Line, which causes an emergency cabinet to assemble. All of the sudden, a giant creature immediately appears, destroying town after town with its landing reaching the capital. This mysterious giant monster is named “Godzilla”.”
With a script by Anno and a co-directing team consisting of Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan), the cast includes Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, Satomi Ishihara, Rando Yaguchi, and Ren Osugi.
