Showtime has new, dark, series in the works, titled The City, from Director Antoine Fuqua and Black Box creator Amy Holden Jones, Tracking Board reports.

The City follows an idealistic young doctor who begins his first day of residency under the supervision of a senior resident who appears tough and brilliant but turns out to be a deadly psychopath.

 

Fuqua and Jones will serve as co-executive producers with Oliver Obst of 3 Arts Entertainment, with Roshan Sethi and Hayley Schore, who will also write the scripts for the series. Jones also worked on the script for The Relic, among other projects.
