Robert Rodriguez is teaming up with Bold Films for ‘Blood’, a twisted tale of one woman’s search for her biological family.

Rodriguez does it all, write, direct, produce, and compose. He has many films and series to his credit including ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ (the film and the series), ‘Grind House’, ‘Sin City’, ‘The Faculty’, ‘Machete’ and many more. He also owns the El Rey Network that delivers fantastic films and series. It’s still unkown if Rodriguez will be in the director’s chair for ‘Blood’.

Bold Films will be financing the project which has yet to announce the cast, according to Variety.  Bold Films is behind films such as ‘Whiplash’, ‘Night Crawler’ and ‘The Neon Demon‘.

Jeff Buhler has been brought on to rewrite the script, originally penned by Misha Green. Buhler wrote the films newly wrapped ‘Jacobs Ladder‘ remake, Paramount’s ‘Pet Sematary‘ remake and the brutal gorefest ‘The Midnight Meat Train’.

In ‘Blood’ a recently engaged woman becomes determined to find her birth family before she marries. But when she meets her unusual kin in the deep woods of Florida, she begins reliving horrifying suppressed memories that lead her to believe her newfound relatives may be hiding some dark secrets.

Michel Litvak and Gary Michael Waters will produce, with Lisa Zambri serving as executive producer.

We will keep you posted as new information about ‘Blood’ comes to light.
