One of the genre films I am most looking forward to in 2017 is Rock Paper Dead, from ‘Friday the 13th’ creator Victor Miller and co-writer Kerry Fleming (Opening Day). Genre legend Tom Holland, known for his classics ‘Fright Night’ and ‘Child’s Play’, is in the director’s chair.

‘Rock Paper Dead’ follows Peter Harris (Luke Macfralane), aka “The Doll Maker”, who returns to his ancestral estate after his release from the state asylum for the criminally insane. After 20 years inside the institution he has been deemed as “cured”. When Peter steps inside the old house memories of his tortured childhood and past victims come flooding back. It isn’t until Ashley enters his life that Peter makes a decision, one that rekindles old desires that have always ended in murder.

Today, we have more casting news. We have learned exclusively that Quinton Aaron has joined that cast of ‘Rock Paper Dead’ to play the role of an orderly named Joe. Joe is an “…instigator who gets others to act on his taunting.” Standing at 6’8″, Aaron will be an imposing figure.

Aaron has had many roles, but is most memorable as Michael, a main character from the endearing 2009 film ‘The Blind Side’. He did an amazing job in that film. I saw it the day it came out in theaters. Aaron’s other films include ‘Greater’, ‘Traded’, ‘Left Behind’, ‘Paranormal Movie’, and ‘Be Kind Rewind’.

Aaron will co-star along side Luke Macfarlane (Killjoys), ‘The Hateful Eight’ actor Michael Madsen will co-star alongside Tatum O’Neal (Rescue Me), Anna Margaret (Scream Queens), Jennifer Titus (Zoombies), Maureen McCormick (The Brady Bunch, Passions), and Gabriel Stone (Death House), Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), Kimberly Russell (Precious), Stephanie Shamie (The Redeemer), and Vic Stagliano (Burn Notice).

Amy Williams will produce alongside Miller and Fleming. Josh Holland, Nicole Pierce and Stephanie Shamie will serve as executive producers. Filming has already begun in Los Angeles. We will keep you posted.
