Shark film ’47 Meters Down’ has been renamed ‘In the Deep’. The film stars Mandy Moore and Clair Holt as sisters cage-diving. When their boat leaves them stranded in an observation cage, they are trapped on the ocean floor, surrounded by Great Whites.
‘In the Deep’ was directed by Johannes Roberts, who co-wrote the film with Ernest Riera. Roberts also directed ‘The Other Side of the Door’. Yani Gellman (Pretty Little Liars) and Matthew Modine (Stranger Things) co-star in this shark thriller.
The film “dives into a world of two sisters (Mandy Moore and Claire Holt) who become trapped at the bottom of the ocean when a diving expedition to observe sharks goes horribly wrong. When the cable attaching the observation cage to the boat breaks and the cage sinks to the bottom of the ocean, the sisters must figure out a way to get back to safety battling injuries, lack of oxygen, and worst of all, blood thirsty great white sharks.”
‘In the Deep’ is set to open in 2,500 theaters some time next year and arrive on Blu-ray and DVD on August 2nd. If you don’t want to wait to see it, some copies were accidentally released. Check Amazon and Ebay for DVDs.
Today, we have a new clip that shows the women drop something through the bottom of the cage, only to have a shark quickly grab it up.
