Netflix has acquired the action/sci-fi thriller ‘Spectral’, directed by Nic Mathieu and produced by Legendary Pictures. The film, based on a story by Ian Fried and Mathieu, stars James Badge Dale (Iran Man 3, World War Z) , Emily Mortimer and Bruce Greenwood, Deadline reports.
‘Spectral’ centers on a brilliant DARPA scientist who embarks on a deadly mission with a Special Ops team of Delta Force soldiers into a battle-scarred, war-torn city, where mysterious phantom aggressors code-named “Spectral” have been causing inexplicable civilian deaths.
‘Spectral’ was filmed primarily in Budapest and has score by Junkie XL (Deadpool). Visual Effects were created by Weta Digital by Oscar winners Erik Winquist and Joe Letteri.
‘Spectral’ will arrive on Netflix on December 9th, 2016 worldwide.
