The House of Screaming Death – The Identity of The Architect is Revealed

The folks at Lightbeam Productions and Pat The Bull Films have been somewhat mum in regards to their upcoming horror anthology, The House of Screaming Death, but they do have a bit of exciting news to share. Ian McNeice (From Hell, White Noise, The Black Dahlia) has joined the project thus finally answering the question of, “Who is The Architect?”. How exactly did McNiece get involved with the film? Well, you need only take a gander at the clip below and you will hear it straight from the horse’s or rather “The Architect’s” mouth. But wait…that’s not all. There is also a never before seen clip from the film. Since the film is still in post-production, the producers are aiming for a release date on or around Easter of 2017. This should give them ample time to make certain all elements, including the musical score and visual effects, are completely dialed in. The filmmakers are teeming with excitement and anticipation,

It’s not a pitch. Those who want to see it will see it. Those who don’t will likely see it anyway. Many will love it. Some won’t. It’s the way it goes anytime

Max Landis Will Direct The American Werewolf In London Remake

One of the most iconic films in horror history is ‘An American Werewolf in London’. It was only a matter of time before it fell victim to the remake machine. That’s right, ‘An American Werewolf in London’ is being remade by Universal. Max Landis, along with Robert Kirkman and David Albert, the producers of ‘The Walking Dead’, are behind the upcoming film. Max Landis, whose father, John Landis, wrote and directed the original, will both pen the script and direct. Kirkman and Albert will produce under their Skybound Entertainment banner, Variety reports. John Landis and Anthony Waller, who was behind ‘An American Werewolf in Paris’, recently finalized a deal with Universal for the remake rights. I have to say, that if anyone was going to remake this classic, I’m glad that it is Max Landis. His father will hopefully have a heavy influence on the remake. Max Landis penned the scripts for ‘Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency’, ‘American Ultra’, ‘Victor

Recently, The Wrap caught up with actor David Oyelowo in an attempt to lean more about ‘God Particle’They did not learn much, but he did reveal the following: Every single day we were on that set, we were agog with the inventiveness and innovation, between the technology, the story, and the audacity of what we were trying to accomplish. It’s an incredibly exciting and innovative process of storytelling. It’s incredibly surprising.” In the ‘God Particle’ a team of astronauts make a shocking discovery and end up fighting for survival in what is being described as an “altered reality”. Writer Says The Universal Mummy Reboot Is Going To Be Terrifying

The Universal Studio’s Monster shared universe will be kicking off in 2017 with ‘The Mummy‘ reboot. The all-star cast of ‘The Mummy’ includes Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe, Annabelle Wallis, Sofia Boutella and Jake Johnson. THR spoke with writer Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange) about ‘The Mummy’. He revealed that new version will be frightening. I think [there is] a similar desire to legitimately explore the frightening and the comic. In the Mummy, I think we’re going to see the first Mummy film in the entire Universal canon with the true power to terrify. The earliest Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi Mummy movies were scary in a small way, perhaps a dated way. They were almost parlor movies. Subsequently movies have been more swashbuckling. This one is going to have all of the action and adventure, nut a legitimate power to terrify. I think that’s going to be the new experience of that film.” ‘The Mummy’ is believed to be safely entombed

Starship Troopers Is Headed For A Reboot

In 1997, Paul Verhoeven’s science-fiction-giant-bug film, ‘Starship Troopers’, an adaption of the 1959 novel by Robert Heinlein, premiered in theaters. Even though the film did not impress critics or viewers in theaters, it did have a good run on DVD and spawned several straight-to-video-sequels. Now, ‘Starship Troopers’ is joining the long list of films getting a reboot. THR reports that Fast & Furious producer Neal H. Moritz is teaming up with Toby Jaffe for the new version. The two have worked together before, on the 2012 remake of ‘Total Recall’. Columbia Pictures has tapped Mark Swift and Damien Shannon to pen the new script, which will reportedly ignore the original and go back to the novel for inspiration. Swift and Shannon are the duo behind the upcoming ‘Baywatch’ movie. The original ‘Starship Troopers’ starred Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer, and Jake Busey. In the film legions of troops fought giant bugs in an attempt wide out their population
