A lot of zombie movies are released every year, but there is one that will make its debut in the U.S. later this month and you need to make it your mission to see it, ‘The Girl With All the Gifts’. It won’t be your run of the mill zombie flick. It is a film with heart and brains. It is more intelligent, with great cinematography, and an amazing cast. It embarks on an emotional journey that most zombie films never travel.
Directed by Colm McCarthy (Peaky Blinders), written by and based on the novel by Mike Carey, the film centers on a scientist and a teacher living in a dystopian future embark on a journey of survival with a special young girl named Melanie who may be the answer to a cure.
Academy Award Nominee Glenn Close plays the role of Dr. Cadwell, a cruel doctor who performs horrible experiments on children infected with a zombie like virus, but retain the ability to feel and think.
Close stars alongside Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine, Anamaria Marinca, Dominique Tipper, Sennia Nanua, Fisayo Akinade, Paddy Considine, and others.
On January 26, 2017 ‘The Girl With All the Gifts’ will arrive on DirecTV, followed by its US theatrical premiere in theaters, Digital HD and VOD from Warner Bros.
