Two new clips have been unveiled from the female-driven horror anthology ‘XX’ that features four tales from five female writer-directors.
Karyn Kusama’s (The Invitation) segment is titled ‘Her Only Living Son’, Roxanne Benjamin who directed ‘Don’t Fall’, Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent) makes her directorial debut with ‘Birthday Party’, and Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured Bird), the former editor of Rue Morgue Magazine, directed ‘The Box’. The tales are woven together by award-winning animator Sofia Carrillo (La Casa Triste).
‘XX’ stars Natalie Brown, Mike Doyle, Christina Kirk, Kyle Allen, Peyton Kennedy, Peter DaCunha, Ron Lea, Jonathan Watton, Lisa Renee Pitts, and Morgan Peter Brown.
XX is a female-driven horror anthology with each director given full creative license to tell any story they choose revolving around a female protagonist. While the directors have been given free creative rein within budget and time constraints, all of the segments themselves will involve the horror genre.”
The first clip is from Roxanne Benjamin’s segment. It warns us to ‘Get Out’.
The next clip is titled ‘Bad Boy’.
Don’t miss ‘XX’ in select theaters and on VOD on February 17th from Magnet Releasing.
