While comedian-turned-horror writer-director Jordan Peele’s genre hit ‘Get Out‘ is still burning up the box office, he’s already planning his next project. Fans will be happy to learn that ‘Get Out’ is only the beginning. The film is just the first of in series of five films he plans to make to examine what he refers to as “social demons”, according to the interview he had with Business Insider.
I have four other social thrillers that I want to unveil in the next decade. The best and scariest monsters in the world are human beings and what are capable of especially when we get together. I’ve been working on these premises about these different social demons, these innately human monsters that are woven into the fabric of how we think and how we interact, and each one of my movies is going to be about a different one of these social demons.”
The social statement Peele made with ‘Get Out’ is being seen and heard in theaters across the nation where fans of both he and the genre are leaving theaters pleased. Besides displaying an important message, ‘Get Out’ was fantastic and creepy as hell (read our review here). It is one of the most impressive directorial debuts of the past decade. I can’t wait to see what he has planned for his next film.
