The previews for three upcoming projects from Netflix were released today. One of the was for ‘Dark’, a German thriller series described as a “family drama with a supernatural twist.”
Starring Anna König, Roland Wolf, Louis Hofmann, Oliver Masucci, Jördis Triebel, Sebastian Rudolph, Mark Waschke, and Stephan Kampwirth, the series centers on four families frantically hunting for a missing child. Their search reveals the secrets and sins of their small town.
While the teaser is in German, it is unkown if the series will be as well. The teaser and plot give off a ‘Stranger Things’ vibe, except ‘Dark’ is taking more of a serious tone. The teaser lets us know that the disappearances my have something to do with time.
The series is from acclaimed Swiss director Baran Bo Odar (Sleepless) and from the Oscar winning producers of ‘The Lives of Others’. We can expect the series to premiere sometime this winter.
