The adaption of the novel will be produced by 21 Laps’ Dan Cohen and Shawn Levy , who were not only behind 2016’s ‘Arrival’ but are the producers of Netflix’s hit series ‘Stranger Things’ as well.

Pitched as a kind of ‘World War Z’ with vampires, according to THR, the story is about the assimilation of vampires, called Gloamings, and their violent clash with humans. The story follows a CDC investigator and an FBI agent who forms the first Gloaming Crimes Unit; a civil rights attorney; an obsessive Vatican librarian; a celebrity gossip site and others.
