IFC Midnight has given writer-director Liam Gavin’s award-winning, supernatural thriller A Dark Song an April release date.
The film follows a young woman, seeking the help of a damaged occultist to perform a dark ritual. The two set out to prepare in a remote house over the course of 6 months, aware that any flaw in their preparations will result in deadly consequences. The dangerous ritual could grant them what they want, but they risk losing their lives and their souls.
Starring Mark Huberman, Susan Loughnane, Steve Oram, and Catherine Walker, A Dark Song captures the tragedy of young life lost and the lengths that a mother would go to say good-bye.
Rory Gilmartin and Hannah Thomas serve as executive producers for the UK film, with David Collins, Tim Dennis, and Cormac Fox producing.
A Dark Song will screen at the Chattanooga Film Festival on April 7th, ahead of its April 28th release in select theaters, on VOD, and on Digital.
