One of the films out of this year’s Sundance Film Festival that is receiving a lot of attention is David Lowery’s haunting tale, A Ghost Story. The trailer has just arrived and it just might be enough to break your heart.
The paranormal drama is flying under the A24 banner, the same people who brought us the genre hits The Witch and Green Room. Lowery (Pete’s Dragon) both wrote and directed A Ghost Story, whose cast includes Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, Sonia Acevedo, Will Oldham, Liz Franke, and Rob Zabrecky.
In the film, that explores legacy, love, loss, and existence, a recently deceased man (Affleck) returns home to haunt his wife. Appearing as a ghost wearing a sheet, he tries to reconnect with grieving wife.
A Ghost Story is set for release on July 7, 2017. You might want to have a box of Kleenex close by when you watch.
