Universal might have teased Horror fans more than a HighSchool student at his senior prom, with their promises of a Pacific Rim sequel, but now it looks like kaigu lovers everywhere have their prayers answered, with filming wrapped on Pacific Rim: Uprising, as stated by star John Boyega on his Twitter.
This sequel to 2013’s smash hit might not have Del Toro, or anyone but Charlie Day from the original cast returning, but with plenty of giant robots and a brand new breed of kaigu looking to battle it out, Pacific Rim: Uprising looks to be a rip roaring good time when it hits theaters February of 2018.
