Production has begun on director Storm Ashwood’s supernatural thriller The School. The movie is being filmed inside Australia’s Gladesville Mental asylum, ScreenDaily reports.

Combining the themes of fear and parenting and utilizing similar styles in modern ghost films with an homage to the Japanese horror genre, The School promises to be a classic horror thriller alongside films such as The Orphanage, The Others, and The Ring.” Ashwood said.

Starring Megan Drury, Will McDonald, Jack Ruwald, and Nicholas Hope, the film centers on a surgeon and mother of a comatose son who become trapped in a building haunted by children from her past.
