Today, we have the first images from Guillermo del Toro’s latest film, The Shape of Water, which will be opening in theaters on December 8, 2017.
Starring Sally Hawkins, Octavia Spencer, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Shannon, and Doug Jones, The Shape of Water, being described as an otherworldly fairytale, was co-written by Daniel Kraus and Vanessa Taylor, based on an idea by Kraus and del Toro.
Set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1963 in a hidden high-security government laboratory, lonely Elisa (Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zeida (Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.
