Jeffrey Reddick, the creator of Final Destination, wants to witness the terror of sleep paralysis in the new clip from Dead Awake.

Gutierrez co-star. Reddick also appears in the film as Anthony.
Directed by Phillip Guzman and written by Reddick, Dead Awake “centers on Kate Bowman (Donahue), a young woman who discovers an ancient evil stalking people who suffer from sleep paralysis. As Kate finds herself besieged by this terrifying entity, she teams up with a local artist (Bradford) to try and stop it. With a skeptical doctor (Petty) questioning her sanity, Kate turns to an eccentric expert on sleep disorders (Borrego) who opens her mind to the horrifying truth: Kate has unwittingly opened the door for this evil to enter our world and has put the lives of her friend Linda (Grant), her father (Eckhouse), and everyone else close to her in danger.”

Sleep paralysis is terrifying and is a very real phenomenon. Victims who suffer from sleep paralysis often do so as they fall asleep or while waking up. They experience times when they can not speak or move while having hallucinations. Imagine not being able to move while a entity comes for you and you believe that it is very real. Scary thought isn’t it?
Galen Walker, James LaMarr and Derek Lee Nixon, Philip Marlatt, Kurt Wehner and Phillip Guzman produced with A.J. Gutierrez, Ashley Wellberg, Jeffrey Reddick, and Tony DiStefano serving as executive producers.
Dead Awake opens in theaters and arrives On Demand on May 12, 2017.
